# Dog Friendly Beach

> Dog-access information for beaches around Britain, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. The main questions are whether dogs may visit, on which dates and hours, in which sections, and on what lead conditions.

Content version: 2026-10-26. The catalogue has 1905 locations: 263 with checked published rules, 6 needing confirmation and 1636 without checked dog rules. These counts describe evidence coverage, not how many beaches allow dogs today.

Each beach has a clean Markdown version at its canonical path followed by index.md. Use the human-readable page’s date and time calculator (Europe/London) for a specific visit. Static Markdown gives published conditions; it is not a live access status. Source-check dates are retained separately from the content version.

A listed location, missing ban, photograph or visitor report does not establish dog permission. Use the linked council, landowner or official visitor source and current entrance signs.

A seasonal rule may cover only one section. Lead requirements can remain after a timed ban ends. Evidence for one year or an order with an expiry date must not be extended automatically. Good Friday varies by year; wildlife cordons can change on site.

Parking, photographs, facilities and background details support the dog-access answer. A beach pin or sand outline is not an entrance, parking place, dog-zone boundary or live waterline. Tide links cover the next seven days at reference ports, not arbitrary future visit dates. Visitor posts are separate from verified rules.

3. Read the dog rules: Open the beach page for permitted sections, lead requirements and published sources.

Dog restrictions can change by season and time of day.
